Transwestern
Transwestern was founded in 1978 as a developer, operator, leaser, and owner of commercial, retail, and industrial real estate. The private firm has since grown to over 2,100 employees operating in 34 cities across the US; and has expanded to offer a full range of commercial real estate services including construction, design, development, sustainability and energy efficiency, leasing, acquisitions, finance and asset management, tenant advisory, and agency leasing.
Hoovers has reported Transwestern manages a portfolio of office, healthcare, retail, industrial, education, and multi-family residential properties comprising more than 260 million square feet of space valued at $1.6 billion.
Transwestern ranked #27 on Fortune Magazine’s June 2015 list of 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials.
According to Executive Vice President of Human Resources Colleen Dolan, Transwestern hired over 400 new employees in 2014 and “we’ve got a very proactive recruiting process going on throughout the calendar year. We’re always looking for very good talent.”
Dolan also asked us to pass this message along to you: “You’re a vibrant force coming into the workplace, and you can teach many of the people (at Transwestern) many new things…I’ve been in human resources for over 30 years, and this is the first time I’ve seen this type of dynamic where we’ve got the younger generation that’s really teaching companies a thing or two about improving the workplace, expanding relationships, and building a better environment overall. So come in with enthusiasm, and be willing to teach the entire organization about what is important to you as well—because you are our future leaders.”
